Nancy's Story

Life Married twice, I have two Sons Youngest in Idaho as a Prison Guard. My oldest is now home Chris was in Desert Storm/Desert Shield and now is being plagued by the non existent Gulf Warm Syndroms. This will take a long time to sort out. Chris is doing very well and has been home a year. I retired 5 years ago to Sonora CA. I love it up here and life is wonderful, especially now that my Son is home and doing well. I'v worked a bit up here, but really don't care to work, enough is enough. I have met wonderful people thru the groups I've joined the Women of the Moose and I belong to the AVVA Associates of the Viet Nam Veterans, the Women of the VFW, We help the fellas earn money for good charities in our communities and support them when ever possible. They are now working on helping the Gulf War vets start their own chapters, before the Viet Nam Vets are no longer here to help them get started. It is important to get the Gulf War Vets started on their own chapters, the VVA does offer a lot of support and we have a wonderful VA Clinic up here, these ladies have done a lot for the VETS and work hard to help the vets with Medical and Paper Work problems. Sorry to...Expand for more
sound Maudlin, I don't feel that way I just want to help the young Men Serving our Country and Our Country owes then a lot. I love working on my 1/3rd of an acre, except when I fall down one of the hills trying to plant to avoid erosion. It is absolutely beautiful up here in every season. I live at 3200 Ft not to warm, just enough snow, lots of fishing etc. Can't ask for more, except a Garage, especially during the winter, takes a half hour to defrost the car enough to get the doors open. Besides the Garden and Remodeling the house, I knit lap robes for the vets in the Hospitals. The Women of the Moose also do a lot of Charity Work for our County. I plan on posting pictures but I need to find them, my youngest son may have them and then I might be out of luck. Sent him that sort of thing just in case. when I moved up here. Hope you are all doing well, if you do drop by please sign in so I know who the 8 individuals were. You won't recognize me I was not a Cheer Leader etc. Got married right after Graduation. I had not planned on building a profile, but decided to confuse every one, since I went to San Lorenzo, but Graduated from Arroyo. Not my choice. Nancy
